BOISE EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

I"m proud to announce that I've been asked to be a
headlining artist at this weekend's Boise Experimental
Music Festival.

I will be doing a set that will include several pieces
for solo voice and electronics. I've really been working on
coming up with new extended vocal techniques for this particular
show.

I'll also be doing a piece for tuned bar pint glasses and clitoral vibrators.
As odd as that sounds, this piece has been coming out beautifully
in my warmup gigs.................some pieces for Green plastic tubing...........a
formal piece that I wrote to mourn the passing of my dear friend, Ali Farka Toure
scored for Shakuhachi, overtones and electronics................a piece for
toy bells and a piece to celebrate my new endorsement with the Cooperman
Drum company featuring a traditional Irish Bodrhan, a traditional South Indian Kanjira,
a middleeastern Riq, a Glen Velez Bodrhan-esque large frame drum and a new invention
called a Hadjira.

I'm really excited about this gig and on top of it all, on Saturday we will be trying out a brand new internet
technology called NINJA jam and will be the backup band (Krispen Hartung and myself) for Rainer Straschill's
headlining gig in a Munich, Germany nightclub...................this is amazing new technology that allows you to rhythmically
control the intrinsic latency of real time audio communication over the web.

Then I'll be doing a wonderful improvisatory set with my dear friend Ted Killian from Oregon and the amazing
Jeff Kaiser, experimental trumpet/electronics musician from Los Angeles.

Then Krispen (who is organizing this amazing huge shebang will be taking me out to the Boise Goth
club on Sunday and I'll be home on Monday..............................WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited, I can't sleep.
