Midi Loop Hardware

I'm fairly new to midi, and I'm trying to find a piece of HARDWARE, that can loop midi information, ideally with a foot controller. I found something that Gibson makes, but it's close to $1000. Isn't there something cheaper?

    there is some old AKAI rack gear out there that can be had for a song..

    the midi note seperator was one and i think they made two more units to go in the rack , you ought to ba able to find them for around 50$ each..
